Original artwork description
Springtime in my Dutch polder, red roofs of a farm and a field of golden daffodils at the skyline.
Living in a Dutch polder, I'm fascinated by the perpetual changing moments of the light, the sky, the colours of the fields.
A polder is a low-lying tract of land that forms an artificial hydrological entity, enclosed by embankments known as dikes.
Every moment is different, every moment is new.
The famous Zeelandic light is always playing a great role, the sea is reflecting it.
"I could feel the sky. The movement. The pressure. The unimaginable expanse!
I love how the sky is nearly everything.
The things on earth minimized."
"Amazing how one tiny splash of red makes the whole blue sky more intense. Your low horizon lines are so dramatic and so very Dutch"
This painting is ready to hang and framed in a perfect box frame.
