The Red Lick Valley is named from the creek that has carved the beautiful and fertile green space among the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I drive this area daily and enjoy the scenery immensely. This scene looks east during sunrise as mist lies heavy against the foothills in the waning days of summer.

This acrylic painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas and is wrap around painted, so does not require framing. It is finished with an satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust.
