Original artwork description:

Part of Postcards from the City collection. This painting is based on a birthday visit to a classic London diner chain. Inside it replicates 50s America with styling and food. There is an old fashioned juke box and the bar includes iconic sauce bottles, napkin holders and sugar dispensers, all of which are referenced. The colours are warm, and the seat itself is truly hot. There is however a bluish tinge to the bottom right panel, which may signify something less than positive.

Materials used:

oils
