Original artwork description
An abstract surrealist painting about renewal and identity shift, where familiar forms break apart and recombine into something new. The composition holds tension between decay and rebuilding, with hybrid shapes that feel both ancient and futuristic.
“Reborn” began during a period of disconnection, when I returned to instinct and started sketching without a plan. The painting developed from shapes pulled from memory, gradually forming strange figures and fragments that suggest transformation rather than a fixed narrative. I wanted it to carry both struggle and harmony, as if renewal is happening in real time.
I build the image through intuitive brushwork and layered texture, then refine the surface until the relationships of form and color settle.
