Original artwork description
This work was created for the BAWW Ukraine 2025 exhibition and was presented at the Natural History Museum in Kyiv. It is now available for purchase. In this drawing, I combined the delicacy of a wildflower with botanical precision.
In Ukraine, rapeseed is more than just an important oil crop—it plays a crucial role in the economy, agriculture, and ecology. It is used for producing oil, biodiesel, and animal feed.
This crop enriches the soil, improves its structure, and serves as a valuable nectar source for bees. However, the war poses challenges to rapeseed cultivation due to field destruction and landmines.
Despite these difficulties, rapeseed remains a symbol of resilience and renewal, supporting both the country’s ecological balance and economy.
My work is a unique and original handmade piece.
It is painted on high-quality, 100% cotton paper specially made for watercolor by the world’s best manufacturers, with a density of 300 grams per square meter. I also use the finest professional paints in my work.
