Chicago fascinated me. It has inspired several artworks. I am especially drawn to the overhead railways and the dark, somewhat sinister space left below, a world of damp shadows. Yet above the sky is hot, the air scented with wild flowers, rust and grease. This work is on a 0.4 inch canvas so it can hang without the need for framing.
