Original artwork description
A large, multi layered oil painting with vivid blue and red hues. Inspired by a deep blue sky witnessed from my window. The painting has been built over many layers of oil paint with various degrees of opacity and transparency. Paint has been applied with a palette knife, scraped off and re-applied again. Sgraffito adds additional interest showing older layers of the painting to shine through.
The deep canvas edges are painted in a complimentary colour. Hooks and artist chord are attached so the canvas is ready for hanging. A signed certificate of authenticity is attached at the back.
