Serene, moody and atmospheric this strong oil painting is of a still sea, with a powerful sky above. This quiet scene, painted in soft greys ranging from dark to light, brings an atmosphere of peace to a room, and allows one to imagine standing surveying the calm sea.
Bold brushstrokes have been used to describe the foreground and strong mid-ground, with softer layers building to create the atmosphere of the sky.
Painted with Michael Harding Professional oil colours on a stretched canvas. The edges are painted white (please see additional photograph), and it is ready to hang. It is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
