Original artwork description
At the mouth of the Dee Estuary are a group of tidal islands called Little Eye, Middle Eye and the largest island Hilbre. The Islands are cut off from the mainland by the tide for up to four hours out of every twelve.
It is possible to visit the islands if crossing before high water but walkers are advised to take the safe route across. If trying to cross directly to the islands you are likely to encounter deep channels and quicksands which have been the inspiration for this piece.
This artwork has white painted sides so no need for framing and has been fitted with chord so is ready to hang. It has been signed on the side and sealed with a matt acrylic varnish.
