Portrait of a young lady. I wanted to put the figure in a sort of fantastic, dreamlike dimension playing with the contrast between the almost realistic and detailed face and the raw, expressionist brushstroke on clothes and background. I was inspired by ancient Greek statues and by expressionist European silent films of the 20's.
