Petra Purple Iris - Desert Sand Irus

Original Chinese Brush Painting by Ilana Shechter.
This is an original Chinese brush painting, created in the spontaneous style of traditional Chinese ink painting.

Iris Petrana (Petra Iris) has spring-blooming flowers that come in shades from burgundy, dark brown, to dark violet and purple. They have yellow or dark 'beards' and flowers over sword-like grey-green leaves. It is normally found in the desert sands between the countries of Jordan and Israel. Therefore, this flower is also called Sand Iris.

The painting is signed on the front with a red Chinese seal that means "Love".
