This beautiful creature is a specimen in Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. I have brought her back to life after seeing her and being inspired by her beauty.
It’s a small sketch painting made from life or the nearest equivalent and completed back at my studio.
Drawn initially in charcoal and acrylic paint, using thin washes to build up the colour and tone.
