Inspired by far reaching views, bright skies, the sweet smell of the sea and salty air on a fresh Spring day when I cycled to Saunton. I looked out over the beach from a viewpoint on the road to Croyde and drank in this scene for around 20 minutes.

Created with lots of texture and multiple layers of beautiful oils, applied with a palette knife and blended with fan brushes.
