I am not naive enough to believe that meat grows in garden beds. I am not a vegetarian. I did not create this project to make people stop eating animals, we raise them for that purpose.

This project is about compassion and humanism. It is about kindness and our shared humanity. It is a somber informational project. It simply informs you about the horrifying number of animals that we, as humankind, consume every year.

It is meant to shock you.
It is meant to make you think and to make you grieve.

Not all painting projects must be cheerful, and social projects even less so. Over the past year, I have cut my own meat consumption in half, though I never planned to. I wish the same for you. :)

A monologue from a goat:
— What’s wrong with me?

Humanity consumes 3,000,000 tons of goat meat every year.
