This figurative sculpture has been created from the manipulation of 3 whole 12" vinyl LP music records - nothing added, nothing removed from their original form. The burgundy coloured record labels are Reader's Digest 'Treasury of the World's Best Loved Piano Music'. Their strong, stylised forms, dancing, protecting each other's backs are resonant of Henry Matisse & Degas.
The figures are mounted upon a local ( East Lothian) oak base with a live edge (35 x 23 x 3 cm) and perspex inserts.
