Original artwork description:
This piece was a private commission, loosely based on a piece I did not long ago. One of my favorite types of images to paint is a “window view”; shutters open revealing a Mediterranean Sea view, often with colorful ancient houses, bobbing boats, and hillsides. This of course is inspired by my home in Menton, France; situated on the Riviera. This canvas is painted around the edges so that it can be hung unframed.
