Here we go; more "Cottages and Quilts", but this time around, I approached it a bit "Sheepishly"....(😉😉😉); a detail requested by this particular client...This piece was commissioned by someone who found me as per the wonderful Write Up published in ArtFinder, after I had sold 50 paintings in just 6 months time on the site!
This piece was based on a compilation of some of the "Cottages and Quilts" paintings I have done and sold, but most specifically one that- oddly enough- was also a private commission. In this case Ms Walker sent me details of what she envisioned, in terms of making this piece specifically personal to her. Oh, how I love the challenge of attempting to translate lists of details onto the canvas! My hope is only ever to translate the specifics in such a way that I create what the client is seeing in his/ her mind's eye.
My client in this case is pleased with the result, and I am once again honored to have been entrusted with putting someone's vision onto canvas!!!! Thank you Beryl Walker for this opportunity!!!!!
