The Sea Daffodil (Pancratium maritimum) is also known as Sand Daffodil, Sand Lily and the Lily of St. Nicholas.
This wild flower is an endangered specimen, I am so lucky to capture its beauty and delicacy. The flower has a pleasing, exotic and very subtle lily scent. The lovingly named Amor mío’s leaves often die back during hot summers. The flower I have found in my first visit to the Praia Azul. Our meeting enchanted my day.
Praia Azul, whose name translates to 'blue beach' is one of the first beaches associated with the famous waves of Peniche. This relatively unspoilt blue flag beach is a long, sandy surfer's paradise located where the Sizandro River meets the Atlantic Ocean.
The painting is signed the initials of the author on the front.
Certificate of authenticity attached to the painting.
