This is another in my series of Postcards from Japan. I was intrigued by the roots on many of the trees in Japan as they seem to take on a life of their own. I felt that the roots were a symbol of families and the history of Japan and family is very important there.

140# watercolor paper, artist grade paints, watercolor sticks, graphite
