This painting was inspired by the philosophical tension inherent in every choice we make. Various portals open into landscapes. When one horizon is upright, others are inverted. When we say yes to one view, we say no to others. Each path pursued leaves behind a constellation of unlived potential. To commit to one direction is to close the door on countless others.

Hung in either orientation, the work invites the viewer into an existential awareness: every affirmation is a negation. The painting becomes not just an optical experience but a meditation on presence, absence, and the weight of choice.
