I painted this work out of a need for restraint.
Porcelain. Citrus. Linen. Nothing more.
Yet everything holds tension.
The oranges glow, but they are already fading.
The branch still carries leaves, but it is cut.
The bottle stands upright, calm, almost distant.
I was thinking about control — how we arrange and compose to preserve beauty. But nothing here will last. The fruit will dry. The light will shift.
What remains is attention.
For me, this painting is about presence within fragility. About value that does not demand volume.
For a collector, it offers something rare:
a quiet center. A composed stillness that steadies a space without trying to impress it.
