Description of the painting "Poppy Wreath":

A floral mood flows through every part of this painting. Everything — the flowers, the girl, her gentle and sincere smile — conveys the atmosphere of summer, freshness, and inner harmony. Her gaze, both steady and playful, seems to dissolve into nature, into the colors, the scents, the very air itself.

In this work, I combined my favorite technique, blending the freedom of abstraction with the delicate, detailed beauty of realism. The oil paints were applied in layers — sometimes densely and opaquely, covering the underlying color to create depth and richness of tone; and at other times lightly, just touching one another to preserve the freshness and breath of the brushstrokes.

This painting is more than just an image — it’s a mood. I aimed to convey a feeling of freshness, emotional resonance, and color inspiration — the kind that fills the soul when you look at real, living flowers.
