POPPIES HILLS BY THE SEA AT SUNSET is a textural impressionist impasto palette knife oil painting from my BLOOMING PLANETS series. I painted this landscape into a semi abstract manner, in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of vibrant, saturated, colorful oil paints that I love so much. I love to paint flowers fields as they would be blooming, flowering planets or ascending hills full of flowers or trees...
