Artwork description
Who doesn't love that pop of colour when you spot a Kingfisher? I have only seen a Kingfisher twice in my life; once in a London park and once by a river in Edinburgh. Both sightings elicited a shock of pleasure, as the pop of unmistakable iridescent colour shone out from the shadowy undergrowth. The Kingfisher for me is a rare and elusive prize. A tiny waterside gem.
This is a multi-block print and the inking is variable, so each print is slightly different as the base layer (orange and blue of the body) is put on in a painterly fashion. They all look like Kingfishers of course!
Materials used:
Oil based ink and archival paper
Details:
- Linocut on Paper
- From a limited edition of 25
- Size: 22 x 22cm / 15 x 15cm (actual image size)
- Signed and numbered on the front
- Style: Organic
- Subject: Animals and birds
