I saw this scene while on vacation in Turkey, and I was drawn to the transitional moment of the pomegranate—it was not yet ripe but had already formed, still bearing traces of its flower. This stage of its development reminded me of the fleeting nature of time, of how nature is constantly changing, just as we change, shifting from one form to another. I wanted to capture this boundary between the past and the future, to convey the feeling of fragility and, at the same time, the strength of life contained within this fruit.
My work is a unique and original handmade piece.
It is painted on high-quality, 100% cotton paper specially made for watercolor by the world’s best manufacturers, with a density of 300 grams per square meter. I also use the finest professional paints in my work.
