I am presenting to you a new painting with a pomegranate. This time a pomegranate in gold vestments._x000D_
Although I don't like gold, you must admit that a garnet on a gold background looks just royal. And I have long wanted to paint a purely interior painting with a pomegranate._x000D_
The gold background around the garnet is a gold potal. If you are not familiar with this material, I can tell you in a nutshell. Potal is sheets of a thinly rolled alloy imitating gold leaf._x000D_
Gold leaf is well suited for decorating various surfaces, including canvas._x000D_
If you buy this painting, you can be sure of the safety of the golden background. I covered the leaf with three layers of varnish. The first layer of shellac varnish protects the leaf from oxidation. And two more layers of another varnish create a durable film that protects the leaf from scratches._x000D_
The ends of the picture are covered with gold leaf and varnish, so you don't have to frame the painting in a baguette. But you can also arrange - this is at your request._x000D_
I can only send such a picture on a stretcher. I will pack the painting between two slabs of extruded polystyrene. It is a durable but lightweight material, then packed in a box or large bag. Thus, the picture will fly to any point on the globe intact._x000D_
