Color is my tool of expression. Inspired by impressionists I try to look for the right colors to tell you about my impression of a place, of a day… This Dutch landscape with water, trees and a boat is so familiar to me. The bare branches in the sky, the holes and cracks in the trunks, the calm of the water… I can never get enough of these organic shapes and forms.
I started this dyptich with an underpainting of a turqoise/phtalo-green. This set the tone! After that it was never easy picking the next color, I had to experiment a lot! (You can see in the pictures of the work in progress)

The paintings are wired at the back, so they are ready to hang. It is also possible to frame the works together in one frame, the images are connected, left side to right and vice versa.
