Original artwork description
My polder in Zeeland, the place where I live, with its continuous changing light, huge skies, polders surrounded by dikes.
Red roofs of a farm, dark fields and an enormous sky
"I could feel the sky. The movement. The pressure. The unimaginable
expanse!
I love how the sky is nearly everything.
The things on earth minimized."
"Amazing how one tiny splash of red makes the whole blue sky more intense. Your low horizon lines are so dramatic and so very Dutch".
"The most subtle elements add such a lot. I love the white roof line on the homes. The solitary pool of light is downright cosmic. The sheer blackness of the earth grounds the landscape."
