Original artwork description
A polder is a low-lying tract of land that forms an artificial hydrological entity, enclosed by embankments known as dikes.
Every moment is different, every moment is new.
The famous Zeelandic light is always playing a great role, the sea is reflecting it.
"The landscapes of Van Nieuwenhuijzen are extensive, born from an intense experience of the openness of the Zeeland area. An undertone of mysticism is unmistakable. As if caught in line and color movement continues in the invisible behind the horizon. The accentuated line is both the boundary and the window. The subtle differences in rhythm and nuances reflect a range of emotions.” (K.B)
"The most subtle elements add such a lot. I love the white roof line on the homes. The sheer blackness of the earth grounds the landscape." D.H.
The painting is ready to hang without frame.
