This painting is part of a series about fishes called : "Poiscailles", in french popular language.
Flexible and fast marine creatures are one of my favorite subject, because they allow the painter to get a nice gesture, beautiful forms and composition.

All the series is an evocation of fishes, seen from under the water. The transparent water is turquoise, fishes are painted in a gestural, free style. I love the energy and movement of this painting. It's an artistic idea of the sea, or ocean, of the life beneath the surface of the aquatic world.

This is a one of a kind painting, signed on the back.
