Poetry is literature that evokes a specific emotional response through language chosen and is arranged for its meaning, sound, and rhythm. It is a form of expression that encourages us to connect and find meaning in our experiences.
Life is a chain of events, big and small, happy and not so joyful happenings which evoke emotional responses continuously.
With this series ‘Poetry of life’, my intention is to give expression to this chain of events not through words, but through paint, with visual elements, marks, textures and a history of layers in the paint surface.
This dynamic abstract painting shows bold dark shapes that contrast beautifully with the soft muted pinks and greys in the background. The whimsical thin and thick lines intertwine the shapes taking the viewer on a journey through life.
