"Life sometimes brings situations where two partners come to us at the same time. The dilemma arises, how do we deal with it?
We are facing a difficult choice. One or the other? Both? No one? The worst choice is certainly the second one, which the man in the painting is probably considering. But he slowly realizes that he cannot sit on two chairs at the same time. He would quickly find himself on an inclined surface.
The painting tells about the pitfalls of our decisions in partner relationships and warns against imprudent actions."
