This abstract mixed-media collage explores the tension between structure and rupture, order and emotional residue. Vertical passages of black, white, and softened gray are intersected by layered fragments of color, suggesting architectural frameworks disrupted by memory, time, and lived experience.
Built through a process of accumulation and erosion, the surface reveals scraped marks, translucent washes, inked lines, and embedded collage elements that move between control and instinct. Moments of rust, ochre, and muted blue emerge like preserved traces—quiet evidence of something once held, altered, or remembered.
The composition invites sustained viewing, rewarding the eye with subtle shifts in texture and rhythm. It functions both as a contemplative work and a strong spatial anchor, offering depth without dominance—ideal for collectors drawn to abstraction that balances intensity with restraint.
Part of the Disjointed Reality series, this work reflects the experience of navigating inner and outer worlds when coherence is interrupted but not lost. It invites slow looking and personal interpretation, offering space for reflection, reconstruction, and quiet recognition.
