Painting from the series "The intelligence of feeling", was painted in 2016, whilst the Artist explored her inner sense of place and space, and whilst realising that her work was displaying echos of the Chinese landscapes of the Song and Yuan dynasty which became symbolic shorthand and emblems of the Artist's character and spirit.
The Artist continues to explore the balance of spontaneity and considered control during the painting process, whilst remembering and considering absence, time, distance, vulnerability, loss and the notion of sometimes feeling lost..... the human condition.
The Artist intends to create something that is ambiguous, chimerical, organic and elemental.

Signed and dated on the side of the canvas the painting is ready to hang. The canvas is deep edged 4cm which shows small signs of the working process to the canvas.
