Original artwork description
This figurative sculpture has been created from one 7" vinyl music record - nothing has been added to the original circular material, nor removed. Mounted on black painted stone with pink perspex accent at base. Drawing contemporary comparisons to Pompeii with the use of stone, and the vinyl with a resemblance of solidified lava. The stone base is 9 x 10 x 15cm.
Seona's fine art practice lies in her interest in the human body, as well geology (she resides near James Hutton's Unconformity - Siccar Point - of historical geological importance), through contrasting materials and shapes.
