Original artwork description:

This is a monoprint of some beautiful pink blossom trees. The blossom this Spring was exceptionally pretty and it inspired me to make this monoprint. I have used the humble paper stencil to make this image and I have used many layers of overprinting to create an image of depth and texture. I have printed the multiple layers very thinly to create a rich and delicate image. The image is printed on Somerset satin paper which is excellent at capturing every tiny detail. The artwork is framed in a simple oak frame.
