Auvergne landscape, France.

High up, on the summit of Mount Mézenc, between clouds, hazy distances, and snow, there is only immensity and silence. The gaze wanders across this expanse where sky and earth merge into a single palette of cold blues and brilliant whites. And then, there are these tormented pines clinging to the snowy peak, warmed by the caress of the low sun. They are life that persists.

The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows it to be hung without a frame, should you wish.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
