Original artwork description:

GICLÉE PRINTS: Actual size (30x24cm) image on PermaJet FB Gold Silk 315 (A3, 42x30cm) paper using Epson UltraChrome HD inks.

Part of a collection of work celebrating the colours, textures and shapes of the London Underground. By careful selection of perspectives and viewpoints (and by removing almost all of the people), Rebecca is able to take ordinary scenes and reveal their underlying beauty and style, which can so often go unnoticed.

In some of these works, the artist bolsters the Tube's own artistic merits by playfully substituting great artworks for the stations' advertisement posters. Here at Pimlico (through which so many art lovers travel on their way to Tate Britain) Matisse's cut outs line the tracks.

Materials used:

Oil on linen board
