Original artwork description
The work is inspired by Tokyo at night—a city where architecture, technology, convenience stores, anime, and childhood memories coexist in a constantly changing visual landscape. The girl becomes almost an embodiment of the city: Tokyo Tower, vending machines, 7-Eleven, mechanical fragments, and familiar characters accumulate around and inside her, blurring the boundary between person and metropolis.
I want viewers to feel the excitement and sensory overload of Tokyo, but also a sense of nostalgia and solitude beneath its bright surface. Acrylic and mixed media allow me to build this dense world through saturated color, fine architectural detail, and layered imagery. The surreal composition reflects how I remember cities: not as fixed places, but as fragments of everyday life reshaped by memory and imagination.
