An inviting impressionist seascape, with great amounts of detail in the legs of the pier and their reflections, and strolling people. Violet clouds overhead give way to gently rolling waves. Everything is so amplified on a pier, from the smell of the ocean to the sight of seagulls swooping by as fisherman clean their catch in the basins. Materials:
Oil on oil primed Claessens Belgian linen canvas on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, finished with melamine backing that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. Painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang.
