Original artwork description:

Between Petersham Meadows and the Thames, I stopped because of rain and then I finished this one in the studio. A photograph helped me capture the drama of the sky in oils. The receding path and wall going into the distance, with the Thames and field on either side, spoke of a journey into the unknown. It is special to me, because the stormy sky draws the viewer to look for points of light among the darkness.
