Like in most of my paintings I like to capture those off-guard moments. The goofy moments friends have while playing a game. The jokes we make, the laughter, the connection you have with people you really like.
With this outdoor painting I painted such a moment, depicting three friends engaged in a game of jeu de boules. The setting is lush and green, with dense foliage framing the background, creating a sense of intimacy and seclusion. Their casual clothing and expressions convey camaraderie and fun. The composition effectively balances detail with an impressionistic style, capturing a moment of playful interaction .
