Artwork description:

Sometimes a particular vase and a particular flower are meant to be together. When I saw this vase in Ikea, it immediately reminded me of the globular heads of Peony buds - peonies were in season at the time. I was also looking for some challenging reflections to portray in linocut and the ridged glass provided this.

Peonies "Sarah Bernhardt" have the distinctive contrasting dark pink and light pink petals and when they're open, look like ballerina skirts.

This print uses Japanese vinyl as a medium which captures detail well.
Supplied mounted with archival tape on a neutral coloured mounting board, - it will fit a standard 12 x 16" frame. Packed in a cellophane sleeve.

Materials used:

Zerkall Smooth acid-free paper, Schminke light fast water-based inks
