Original artwork description:

Peonies are one of my favourite flowers and I like nothing better than to sit in my studio painting them. In this case I used a large enamel jug for the peonies and decided on a portrait orientation rather than landscape. The canvas is an Italian cotton, very fine, and was lovely to paint on. I have used Michael Harding oils as usual and some linseed oil mixed in too. The painting is framed in a pale grey bespoke frame in a 'Chelsea' mould with a white slip.

Materials used:

Oil on canvas
