A small scale painting based on images gathered during a trip to Schuylkill County in November 2025. Loose acrylic paint applied with a knife helps create the almost watery texture. I grew up in Schuylkill County in rural Pennsylvania, and this part of the world is still somewhere I return to in my work without always meaning to. This acrylic painting tries to capture the particular warmth and gentle contour of the Pennsylvania countryside. It's not a specific place so much as a feeling of somewhere I know from a long time ago.
