“Peace of Mind 43” was created as an exploration of warmth, memory and the quiet beauty that can emerge from layers of experience. I began intuitively, without a predetermined image, allowing acrylic paint to develop through long vertical movements, transparent layers and subtle shifts in colour. The painting gradually revealed itself through the interaction of light and darker tones.

Warm earthy browns, copper, muted rose and soft beige form the foundation, while luminous touches of yellow, green, turquoise and blue appear from beneath the surface. These brighter passages feel like fragments of light breaking through the layers — moments of clarity, hope or memory that remain visible even when surrounded by darker tones.

The vertical movement gives the painting a sense of quiet rhythm, while delicate underlying lines add another layer of complexity. There is something almost atmospheric and dreamlike about the work, as if the viewer is looking through a veil and discovering something hidden beyond it.

What makes “Peace of Mind 43” special to me is the meditative process behind it. Painting is my meditation. I allow instinct and emotion to guide the work rather than trying to control every detail. Through that process, restless thoughts become colour, movement and eventually something peaceful.

For me, this painting is a reminder that peace can be found within the layers of our experiences. We do not have to erase the past or silence every emotion; sometimes we simply need to allow the light to emerge through it.
