“Peace of Mind 35” was created as an exploration of quiet emotion, memory and the search for inner balance. I began without a fixed image in mind, allowing the acrylic paint to develop intuitively through long, vertical movements. Layers were added, softened and partially revealed, creating a surface where colours seem to appear and disappear like fragments of thoughts or memories.
The palette of dusty rose, warm brown, muted grey, soft beige and subtle red creates an intimate, contemplative atmosphere. The brighter passages feel like glimpses of light emerging through the surrounding layers, while the darker areas provide depth and a sense of stillness. Delicate underlying lines remain visible in places, suggesting that even when the mind becomes calm, our experiences continue to leave traces.
This painting is special to me because it reflects the quieter side of my creative process. Painting is my meditation. I enter the process without knowing exactly where it will lead, allowing instinct and movement to guide me until the work feels complete.
“Peace of Mind 35” is about accepting what lies beneath the surface and finding tranquillity without needing to silence every thought. I hope it gives the viewer a gentle moment of reflection and calm.
