“Peace of Mind 34” emerged from an exploration of quiet emotion, memory and the subtle moments of light that appear within our inner world. I began intuitively, without a predetermined subject, allowing layers of acrylic paint to develop through long vertical movements, blending, softening and revealing the layers beneath.

The muted palette of grey, taupe, dusty rose and warm earthy tones creates a contemplative atmosphere, while unexpected flashes of red, coral, turquoise and luminous white bring moments of intensity and light. These contrasting passages feel almost like distant memories appearing through a veil — present, but never completely defined.

This work is special to me because it represents the quieter side of my painting practice. Although my creative process can be energetic and physical, painting is ultimately my meditation. I allow myself to become completely immersed in the canvas, letting instinct rather than planning determine where the work goes.

“Peace of Mind 34” is about discovering calm without needing everything to be perfectly clear. Sometimes peace is found in accepting uncertainty, allowing emotions to pass through us, and simply being present in the moment.
