Original artwork description
“Peace of Mind 22” was created as an exploration of calm within structure and movement. I wanted to express the feeling of finding balance when life around us can feel complicated, noisy and constantly changing.
The painting developed intuitively, through layers of acrylic paint applied with energetic, physical movements. I allowed blocks of blue, turquoise, green and deeper tones to build upon one another, creating a sense of depth and rhythm. The almost architectural arrangement of forms suggests that peace is not always found by escaping the chaos, but by finding your own place within it.
This work is special to me because painting itself is my meditation. When I stand in front of the canvas, I switch off from everything around me and allow the process to take over. “Peace of Mind 22” reflects that state — a moment where colour, movement and silence come together.
I hope the painting offers the viewer a similar feeling: a visual place to pause, breathe and simply be.
