Original artwork description:

Finished in a 'crackle' glaze, this ceramic sculpture depicts an abstract figure at peace, his unusual oblong head resting on his knees. Inspired by Gustav Klimt's famous painting, 'The Kiss', in which the woman's head is held to one side, it is designed to evoke feelings of serenity and relaxation. It is one of a series of figures, all with the same facial expression but in a variety of poses, some repeated, that have all been made individually by hand.

Materials used:

clay and glaze
